Been a Dizzy Dizzy Day

Woke up doing just fine..got through my shower and breakfast. Was doing dishes (Tom always makes a mess when he cooks). My lower back started huring, and I turned my hips to stretch and all of a sudden I got dizzy. Got my balance in time, but have been dizzy ever since. Had to use my walker to make sure I didn't fall. Just sitting here typing, if I turn my head at all, I feel the dizzy coming. Not as dizzy as I get laying flat on my back, but just steady light headiness. I go for a test tomorrow afternoon that MIGHT give a hint as to how bad my Vertigo has gone. But it is all about my ears, and I keep thinking it is my Neck or Spine causing all this. Just can't get anyone to listen...they are so sure it is my ears. But everytime I get dizzy like this (well, not like this as I have never been this bad)..it is when I have moved or done something with my hips/lower back.
The first time it ever happened I was laying on the contraption that was going into the radiation tunnel..no dizziness...until...the nurse pulled the sheet under my lower back, and OMG the room spun like a top. I keep telling them about this, but since Everyone else in the world has Vertigo due to ear problems...they believe mine is caused that way too. No idea what I can do to get them to check my whole spine from my neck down. When I am dizzy my neck also hurts..their reply is that is because of the back up in your ear. I give up!

I'd let them know that you WANT a MRI- Cat scam whatever
they do to have your neck & spine checked & INSIST on it.

I hate when I can't get a doctor to listen to me. The body's balance system is in the inner ear, so that's why the focus is there. They would need a strong enough argument to suspect a nerologic cause, as what you're discribing is unusal. Not impossible, but unusal.

I think it's time they really check you from top to bottom, For now I hope the dizziness goes away but do make an appointment,

Go to other doctors until someone listens to you. Have you done any research on the internet about spinal issues connected to vertigo? Here's what I found: Vertigo may be caused by issues with the spine because of the way the nerves within the backbone connect with the brain1. When vertigo is caused by a spinal issue, it usually occurs because a spinal vertebrae is pressing against a sensory nerve2. While usually linked to inner ear infections, the issue sometimes goes away on its own1.
I have spinal stenosis, scoliosis, facet joint arthritis, herniated discs, etc.; and it can cause pain in many parts of the body. Maybe your spinal issues ARE causing the vertigo. Good luck and have a good day.

@Ghostlady You're very welcome. I can't imagine doctors not knowing about this.
