Hey friends!
I'm not really sure why I started the post like that. But you know whatever, were just going with it.
We went to Wally World earlier and I was kind of at a loss as to what to get and make for dinner, and then out of the corner of my eye I saw that the spiral cut honey baked ham was cheaper than the sliced deli meat at the deli. So that gave me an idea.
I got a spiral ham, and some Mac and cheese, Hawaiian rolls and a gallon of Milo's sweet tea.
Chris LOVES honey baked ham. So the fact that I found one that was more than two and a half pounds for $11.52 or something like that was a win win.
We got to eat with everybody, both kids were happy with the meal and cleared there plates. I never know what they are going to like or not like these days. She child didn't really seem enthusiastic about it. But she came back with a cleared plate. So it was a win in my book.
So that's what we had for dinner here. What went on the table at your house?

@thislittlepennyearns I just read about a dessert that is apparently mentioned in Steel Magnolias. I might try that one day soon.

I love ham, but the only time I buy it is when it's on sale. Usually I can get a spiral cut ham for under $1 per pound after typical holidays when ham is popular to serve, and I will buy a couple of them and freeze them. The last ham I bought was an 8 pound one and paid about $6 for it.
For dinner we just had salads.

We have a fifteen pound one in the deep freeze. But I didn't want to make that much.

@porwest Or you freeze it like a proper American. LOL
We had pizza tonight. MIL paid for pizza.
I have no idea what I am going to make tomorrow. But the good thing about that is I don't have to figure that out till tomorrow.

@thislittlepennyearns That's the only downfall with stuff like that. You wind up with too much of it, and then that's all you eat for a while. lol
