Another railway accident

Increasing no. of trains and increasing railway connectivity without increasing manpower strength and other basic infrastructure has created a big safety issue in Indian railway.As a result,there is increase in accident .Last week a passenger train collided with Goods train due to signal issue resulting in death of 10 people.These are really sad things and should not happen.

They shouldn't, sure, but they do. Best thing that can happen is people learn from it.

I understand that rail is one of the major system of Indian transportation. I've also seen videos of old dilapidated (colonial era?) trains overcrowded with people riding on top of the trains and some hanging dearly for life in open doors. Maybe these trains service the rural areas but modern rail cars are use in urban centers?

It's the railway management that's showing a negligent attitude moreover maintainance is very poor in the railways.
