My little car gets decent gas mileage. I'm on an email list with a fun market. The market is in a little town just south of me. The market emails its bargains to folks like me. Yesterday notice was emailed out that the market had a good price on cherries. The red cherries were grown on the East side of my state. This morning I drove over and bought a box of the fruit. Fresh local fruit. Oh my. On the way home I spotted a strawberry stand. About twenty pounds of cherries sat in my back seat but I just could not resist fresh ripe and juicy strawberries. I bought a little box. The temps are in the mid 80s today. I found it much nicer to buy those cherries and berries than to mow even a small amount of yard. Wow it is glaring hot out. I hope you all that are sweltering are doing alright and not suffering too terribly bad.

As my dad would say, “That sounds so good my tongue might beat my brains out.” And if you don’t understand that, it’s okay. I don’t really understand all the time either.

In the morning, I went to the morning market here and bought 2 pounds of cherries. They are on sale and the special aroma of strawberries is very attractive. I usually buy some when they are cheap.

@sallypup Yes, the morning market will be closed at 9am. And there is a morning market every day, including Saturdays and Sundays. It is indeed a very attractive place, and it is of good quality and affordable price

Did your fruit make it home safe? I don't know anyone who wants to mow the lawn in the heat.

@wolfgirl569 Especially for fruit that is ripe and tastes like fruit.

We had to cover our garden against Frost on Monday. Didn't save it all! Enjoy your heat and produce!

@paigea I heard that Eastern WA state had a possible freeze warning the other day. I'm sorry about your poor garden.

The 80's are pleasant to me. It may be in the upper 90's this weekend with an extra dose of humidity for good measure .

I'm hearing a lot about the heat in your country. It's pretty cool here.

Nothing better than fresh fruit. We haven't had rain in a few days, so the yards don't need to be mowed, which makes me happy. Other than going to the bank in the morning, I don't plan on leaving home until Sunday. I don't like the heat and humidity.
