Would you answer a call after normal working hours?

Like, at 8.30 p.m. ? Someone tried to call me half an hour ago but i didn't want to pick up. I found no record of this phone number online as well. I did apply for one job but it is too fishy to call me almost at night time, right? Would you answer the call? It was a cell phone, not a telephone number.

,I usually don't take calls from unknown numbers.I take it only if repeatedly comes.

@grenery8 I understand.Recently I had to receive a call from an unknown number and I found that it was one from one of my childhood friend at the other end.

you are right. if the call was persistent, i would pick up. last time someone called me like that was a few years ago and i have to change my number due to that, it lasted almost 5 months. it was an older phone so i couldn't block the call.

I usually answer calls from wireless callers. Have a good weekend.

@grenery8 I will answer calls until 9 pm. They are not supposed to call after 9 pm.

even at that hour? the last time i didn't pick up, a different number, it turned out it was a scammer and they could steal your money, while talking to you so, i am on alert.

If I didn’t recognize the number I wouldn’t have answered either. I really don’t think the job would call you so late.

@grenery8 Kind of, but not unheard of. Most business people and or telemarketers are allowed to call until 9 PM at least here.

i agree but after 8 p.m. it is a kind of strange, isn't it? the last time someone called me like this was a scammer.

@LeaPea2417 o, i see. me too. with unknown numbers, i don't liek them. if there are job opportunities, i like receiving them over email but rare peopel do that.

due to that, i didn't want to pick up at all. it makes me uncomfortable talking to someone at that hour unless it is a number that i recognise.

I don't know about "working hours" since I'm not working at the moment, but if I see a number on my cell phone that I don't recognize, I often don't answer it.

i just said that, for people to think easier perhaps. i don't like unknown numbers but if i see it, it is up to 7p.m. for me.

i think so too, honestly. if it really was, like a job interview i had on last saturday and it ended strange, this is a fishy job then.
