Allen's Thrift Shop - Sold My Sofa Bed

So I managed to make a sale - sold my sofa bed for $50. It isn't brand new but it is still in good condition. It also comes with a red cover which isn't included in the photo. I had a couple of inquiries, most were trying to haggle the price but I was firm with my price. Finally, got a buyer who not only agreed with the price but also made a down payment to secure the item.
She was also kind enough to pick up the item in my unit and had someone transfer the sofa bed from my unit to her unit. I posted the item in our buy and sell group for our place here in FB.
I sold the sofa bed because I'll be buying a loft bed with a work area under the bed. It is not only a space saver but would make my work condition better.

I like what you plan on buying instead! I’d like a sofa bed myself. I thought about selling my brand new 28 shoe shoe rack, but decided to donate it to a church garage sale instead. No, I do not have 28 pairs of shoes; it was brand new and free. Unfortunately, I didn’t remember just because it’s free doesn’t mean you should take it. It originally cost $250, and was still in the box.

That's a good way of thinking about it. Most often, people have a hoarder mentality which isn't really helpful at all.

I am glad it worked out for you. We never really mess with that type of stuff unless its friends or family. I am sure there is ways you can clean beds or couches and have them second hand. Its just people do not like to buy them second hand because who knows whats its been through. We all have families, we know how it goes, but people do hotel rooms, they get cleaned and people go right to sleep. If done right it could be a very good deal for both sides.

With the space I have, a loft bed makes a lot of sense.
