Renovations nearing their end

The house renovations are nearing their end (unless my mom decides to do something else) so we have to start looking for living room furniture, dining room furniture, a tv stand, a wall organizer, and blinds for the living room, dining room, and kitchen windows. Though we didn't renovate our bedroom we may end up getting new furniture for it. Of course, the other stuff is more important since we threw all the old stuff out. At the very least it is a good idea to replace the mattress because it's been in existence since the 90s. It's time for it to go. And we have to get the window replaced in the kitchen because it cracked (who knows why). What started out as a small crack turned into a very big one. I doubt that you can just replace the glass that broke. Wonder how much it's gonna cost and where to best go for that.

Finding furniture and getting new blinds can really transform a space. As for the window, it's probably a good idea to get it looked at soon to prevent any further damage. You might want to get a few quotes from different places to find the best price for the window replacement. Overall, it sounds like your home is going to look amazing once everything is done!

@lovebuglena I can imagine how overwhelming it must be to coordinate everything, Lena. Just take it one step at a time, and remember that the effort will be worth it when you see the final result. Your home will be beautiful and feel even more like your own once everything comes together.

Me too but there may be more renovations coming if my mom decides to deal with more stuff that needs work.

Good news that the renovations are almost finish. I hope that you find a store where you can get a good quality glass that is not too expensive.

I hope you enjoy shopping for new furniture but sometimes that can be stressful too.

@lovebuglena I certainly wouldn't buy furniture online.

I don't want to buy furniture online. I want to be able to see it in person and hopefully even sit on it.

Sounds like you will be doing a lot of shopping. If the window is single pane, the glass can probably be replaced. Good luck and have a good day.

My mom asked the contractor about a few other things to look into. Our balcony is not finished and the front porch needs some work. If he decides to take them on and my mom agrees on the cost then renovations will continue.
