I am almost 63 years old and as a child I drank tap water from the sink and from the hose playing outside in the summer. About 35 years ago or so I started drinking bottled water instead, but cooked with tap water as well as using it to make ice in the freezer.
About 2 years ago I moved into an apartment with my daughter in another county about an hour away from where I had lived for years and the tap water was nasty tasting. My daughter decided that not only would we continue to drink bottled water but to use it to make ice as well.
Standing outside we could smell the bad water from the water company in this county. About 6 months ago it was broadcasted on the news that the water in this county was bad and that everyone was to drink and cook bottled or boiled water!
However we were never told that the water issue had been cleared and we could go back to drinking and cooking tap water. I boiled water to cook vegetables in a few weeks ago. The veggies tasted weird!
Plus this counties water coast very high for not good water!!!!!!!!

It's understandable why you'd be frustrated with the water quality situation, especially when you've been using bottled water for so long. It's concerning that the water quality hasn't been officially declared safe again. I hope the authorities address this issue soon, ensuring everyone has access to clean, safe, and affordable water. In the meantime, it's great that you're being cautious and prioritizing your health.

I'm 73years old when I'm in the town we used to drink tap water. But now a days due water polution people used to drink bottled water or RO filtered water. Most I prefer to drink available water when I'm on tour. I think by drinking water in different places will bost our immunity.

I have never been to Mexico, but from what I understand from friends that have been there that have said the water there causes stomach issues.

if the smell is bad, then good decision not to drink tap water anymore. We buy distilled water in our village as we don't want to drink the tap water.

The authorities put on the news that the water is bad and they are working on it. Meanwhile everyone should use bottled water or boil it. To me the boiled water still is not good. There is no one to complain to. I already told the water company how I feel and they said that is the way it is in this county.
