Today Before The Heat

United States
June 23, 2024 5:59am CST
Good morning mylot, it is 5:47 and time for me to start the day. After a few minutes of that intense heat for a short time, I realized how terrible it can be. I thought about the people with no air conditioner, and wonder how it is for them. I need to go to the store, but that will be tomorrow early in the am. Stay cool. This type of heat can be dangerous.

Good morning to you. It is awful to be experiencing the hot weather. In the morning at midday we were at 33C, tomorrow will be hotter at 34C.

@popciclecold I haven't been able to use the AC for two weeks now. I use the fan instead.

Yes, high heat can be lethal if you don't know how to protect yourself. I wonder what the Ancient Native Americans did to ward off the heat

I like to get my work and errands done early in the day. It helps me beat the heat.

Certainly extreme heat can be dangerous especially for those who are compromised in any way.

I hear first responders are carrying ice on their ambulances now.

Elderly people sometimes succumb to the heat without an air conditioner. I saw a forecast for some eastern states with temps of over 100 degrees. Have a good day and stay cool and hydrated.

It makes me appreciate the businesses who put on “fan drives”; people can come get free fans as long as supplies last.
