The lioness hunt in the night and sleep in the day

Among lions and lioness in majority of habitats the lioness do the most of the hunting for animals. They do the hunting at night. So during the day for most of the hours they spend time in sleeping. They can even sleep in summer heat.

they work hard. it is inconvenient when your fur is heating you.

I didn't know that it's the lioness who do most of the hunting.
