I thought we were done with this $hit when the Moroccan's son finally went to jail. I don't think I wrote about a disagreement I had with a "new" neighbor's son who has been staying here for the past couple of weeks. I had the windows open because the weather was nice and he spent the day smoking cigarettes and pot out on the landing. The smoke kept coming into my apartment. At one point I was watering my plants on the landing and he was smoking. I politely asked him if he could do that either inside or downstairs away from the building. He told me to get out of his face (wasn't even close) and that I could close my windows. I was dumbfounded. I was like "why are you trying to make an enemy of someone you have to live next to?" He and his Mommy were rude so I got snarky and asked if he had applied and/or registered to live in that apartment. Mommy said that she would know it was me if the office questioned it. Granted the guy is like my age and the mother is like 70. I didn't say anything to the management office but at least they knew I wasn't happy about the stench on the landing. Today I had a BLAST at the pool with friends. We laughed so much. Eventually my downstairs neighbor and I decided to come back to our apartments. We were wearing bathing suits and wrapped in towels with our beach/pool bags. We saw a police car pull up as we approached the building. They hit the staircase when we did. My neighbor asked them what apartment they were going for (she was afraid it was about her son not going to visitation) and they said it was the apartment up here with the nasty woman and rude son. Whatever. I just kept climbing the stairs and then stopped at my door to dig the keys out of my bag. The cops knocked on the door and she opened it immediately for them. She saw me and said "yeah I knew my neighbor would be right out there." WUT? The cops literally saw us walk from the pool and I was in a bathing suit and wet towel. Does she think I hang out in that getup? There were 3 pairs of police here at one point but no ambulances. The mother's car is gone now. I truly don't care but I'm not going to deal with living with another police parade with some guy who isn't even supposed to be here. I also will drop by the office tomorrow to let them know that I had absolutely nothing to do with whatever happened. I was at the pool. They can check the cameras.

Troublesome neighbours can make like so unpleasant. Hope everything settles amicably and there's peace.

That neighbor is defensive of her shiftless son, blaming you or anyone else she can think of! Those police are there, probably with a warrant for his arrest. Someone else contacted the cops, probably an ex wife or a girl friend that he hammer on! Regardless, his smoking on the landing is rude and thoughtless

I hate problem neighbors. I like my boring, drama-free life here in the sticks. Have a good week.

That is awful. Awful that is happening, awful that they will try to blame you.

Yikes. Ay carumba. I hope you don't have to deal with that mother-son pair as neighbors ever again.

I have very bad neighbours too but these are horrible. They don't have the right to harm anyone's health.
