Pen Friends

When I'm in school I started pen friendships, I have lost friends from Suriname, Trinidad Tobago,Canada ,Mexico and so many countries. Now my age 72, I have forgotten those country names also. Due to change of Houses I lost most of those letters and gifts I have received etc etc. Now also once again that culture started.

What a rich experience to have pen friendships with people from around the world! It's a shame about the lost letters and gifts, but it's great that you're reconnecting with that culture. Cheers to new friendships!

Thanks for response, in all these years nearly 9 houses we have shifted and also shifted town to city, in city also shifted Houses. But I have some photos of my pen friends, if I have some time to search those photos I will post them here.

@yugasini Moving so many times must have been quite a journey! It's great that you still have some photos of your pen friends. If you find the time to share those photos, it would be wonderful to see them. Cheers to the memories and to reconnecting with old friends!

I had a pen friend when I was a child but then I got busy in my studies that I hardly got time to exchange letters and ultimately lost him.

those were good old days....when we used to eagerly wait for the Postman to arrive at our doorsteps...I too had a pen-friend, but I think last I wrote to her was in 1999

Thanks response, as said by you. Iam eagerly waiting for the post man and to that effect I'm going to post office to collect my letters from post their itself, intentionally absent for college

Thanks for response, due online nobody is is using physical letters, all are accustomed to write onle, I once to improve my writings started mylot after so many years

Now we can make "mylot" friends from around the world. for this generation, maybe pen friend is not usual anymore

Thanks for response, just like me some people want to start making pen friends, because we are bored online chatting. Waiting for a friend's letter is more thrilling now a days.
