Another Update

So, one of the employers that I applied for gave me another update. Their last update was the pending approval of the position. Now, they told me that the position has been finally approved. However, they still are working on the process for the OSG's Deputation. I've been working at the local government unit for so long, this is the first time I've heard of OSG Deputation. Turns out that all lawyers to be hired in government agencies need to go through that. I hope I get an approval for the OSG Deputation so that I can finally be able to say "I got the job!"

Are you working in the legal department? I ask since OSG is the office of the solicitor general.

Yes, I have been working in the legal department for more than 4 years already but unfortunately not as a lawyer. After passing the Philippine Bar last year, I've been applying at different offices for the position title attorney or lawyer.

@HaruLoid ~I wish you the best of luck. Despite the padrino (backer) system that is a given obstacle for promotion in Govt. offices, I hope you get the job.

@josie_ I do hope so too. I really don't have any backer when I applied for that position. Hopefully, my faith in the existence of some non-backer focused government agencies remains once I get hired.
