Did you know that installing an air conditioner costs a lot?

Lately, I haven't been very active because workers installed our air conditioner. This took almost 6 hours. We didn't expect this, but we had to pay a lot more. We had to pay almost half of the air conditioner price on installation. We didn't know that it cost so much. It is a split air conditioner and it works well. I have some health problems and I hope it won't make them worse. I have blepharitis and I struggle a lot to see clearly. It disappeared and came back fast. The air conditioner seems to work for all rooms. If we open a room the cold air enters there. I didn't expect his. We have 4 rooms. We installed it in the hallway and they said that we don't have room to install it there. But my mom insisted a lot and we put it in the hallway. I already have some problems if I stay near it. My mom has headaches, I have a dry nose, dry eyes, sore throat and headaches. I think we aren't used to it.

Nothing is cheap these days. If I have to replace my unit, which undoubtedly will fail at some point, it will probably be 2000 or so.

It's very true. Did you have your unit for a long time?

Oh, yes, I know. I had a new air conditioner and furnace installed about three years ago. Goodbye, ten thousand dollars!

I know that installing is sometimes more expensive than the air conditioner. I have dry eyes and I cannot stand air conditioning.

I have dry eyes too. Each time when I am near the air conditioning my eyes are teary and I have headaches. But I leave my room open and the air enters without having to stay near it.

You need to set the temperature, so it won't be as cold and cause more physical problems. I'm sorry it cost more than you expected.

I think my setting was too low. It was too hot inside and the setting was at 20 degrees C.

We won't give up. I found out that it's very useful and it can do miracles. I was very anxious and I felt much better and calmer when the AC did its job.

@dya80dya i, who never liked opening windows too wide also faced troubles adjusting to it; it was too cold but when hot temperatures came, ac was a saver for me. i remember before ac, one summer, i think i almsot cried how hot it was so, i am glad you're not anxious anymore

Yes, you’re right, that is normal when you’re not used to it. Sometimes running my heater does the same thing to me (which is common too). I use a saline spray, and it really helps when that happens.

I think my setting was too low. I had the setting on 20 degrees Celsius and outside there are 35 degrees Celsius now.

We have enough windows too. But when it's so hot we could let the windows open for hours. Nothing changes. In the evenings when it's colder windows work.

Yes. I had to have one installed this weekend too. Mine was 13,195 dollars. How much was yours? My AC went out last Tuesday.

In my place, if you buy a new air-conditioner, installation service is included. You do not have to pay extra.

This is good. I hope here it will be the same in the future. They want a lot of money.

Well, usually it take 2-3 hours to have the split air conditioner installed. Guess, the ventilation or the direction or power supply lines would have had challnges. Ensure to have the filters clean every quarter, that should help in bringing the power charges as well as better for health. Considering your health issues, suggest not to lie directly in line with the air flow. Either a little far or beneath the air conditioner, in case there are no other allergies.Take care

No one showed us how to clean the filters. They said that we need to pay if we want our filters cleaned.
