It's Been Awhile

Hello again. I have been away for a few weeks or so. Life issues and such...but trying to get back into the swing of things with posting. Personal issues have been distracting and distressing lately, so I haven't had the desire to write about anything. It is exhausting to deal with things at times. Not to mention the additional issues of the stress of things going on where I live with the management issues, the loss of my garden, etc. I am still waiting on the funding of my loan so I can finally buy a house and get moved. The wait is still up into October for now. I have been getting back into painting in my art journal. I do a lot of mixed media layering and then doodling over top of those backgrounds I have made. I do a lot of sketchbook art with pens and colored pencils, along with sometimes oil pastels. My art journal is for painting and mixed media practice and learning new things. My space for painting right now in this apartment is very limited so I cannot do the things I would like to do, and that kind of depresses me. But art is therapeutic and very helpful for mood improvement. Living in a small space makes things difficult. One of the problems is that things pile up because of limited space to put things. Things like mail you have to keep and other paperwork you have to keep. This has been a struggle for me all of my adult life. What to do with all that stuff that you don't want but have to keep? Today is exciting. I am getting away from this place for awhile. I have a special surprise for my helper and friend that should be fun for both of us. I got some extra money this week and want to get out and just have fun. So I have made an appointment for us to get chair massages, and maybe do a little shopping and get something for lunch with dessert of ice cream. She only knows that we are going to get out of this place and find something fun to do. It has been a very, very long time since I have gotten out of this building for just fun. My dog, DaisyMae has begun a new behavior. She loves belly rubs and has almost everyone we see "trained" to give her belly rubs. But in the past couple of weeks, she has started to bark at some of those people if they are not giving her the belly rubs fast enough for her. It has been shockingly funny. Okay, that's all the update for now. Hopefully I can continue to keep posting again. Have a great day everyone!
