A really strange happening!

Yesterday was wonderful (even though I'm in pain off and on. I know, but that's for another post.)
Had such a nice morning at church. Dale preached and I sang, then one of the ladies invited us to lunch at a local buffet.
That afternoon we (Dale and I, not the friend from church!) were sitting in the shack out back enjoying the cooler temps and watching several turkey goblers strolling in the pine trees.
It started raining..so thankful to God for that...when pieces of black something started falling from the sky! Couldn't figure what in the world
it was when several fire trucks went screaming by and stopped not far from us. There was a huge fire and we were so worried at first that it was my aunt and uncle's house.
But thank God it was an old abandoned shack that was a house at one time and needed to burn down years ago.
Quite some excitement with things falling from the sky.

@1creekgirl - There are places we hope to see disappear, they are even dangerous.

@LadyDuck This old house was falling apart when the last person lived there. I don't know why it was never condemned.

Thank God, it wasn't your Aunt & Uncles house! We hear sirens often, usually it's a police vehicle being called out.
We recently had a fire not far from Tawas. There was smoke rolling into the sky. I tried to drive to where it was, it must have been too far away. Yet, the smoke could be seen from Tawas:) I never even heard what was burning up!

Fires are never good, but thankfully that's not something dangerous. At least nature I guess got rid of that shack unless it was a controlled burn.

It wasn't a controlled burn, but very needed. Possibly a lightening strike during that thunderstorm.

We didn't hear an explosion, but it was a big fire to be a small building. The rain helped put it out, too.

@1creekgirl I am always surprised at how a small flame can quickly turn into a raging inferno.

I'm glad it wasn't your aunt and uncle's house. I would have loved to have seen the turkeys. What's the latest on your shots? Have a good day.

The pain clinic got the referral for my neck, so waiting for an appointment for that and one for the second ablation on my back. And now dealing with possible pancreas issue. Uggg!

@LindaOHio I did get some good news yesterday. Even with some elevated enzymes, my pancreas is okay. I'll have an endoscopy in a couple of weeks and I have an appointment for my second ablation! So, much to thank God for.
How's your husband? When do you get to visit him again?

I'm looking for Him (soon Lord!), but my first thought was that a plane had crashed. Thankful it wasn't that.

Of several buildings right there, we were really thankful it wasn't anyone's home.
