This card is for my niece’s 13th birthday (July 6th), and is obviously one that tells you all about the year you were born in. I like informative cards, but I also like the funny ones. Of course, the sweet, sincere cards are worth saving too. There is such a world of ones to choose from these days. The musical cards are great, but they can get expensive…what is your favorite?

I usually like cards with animals on them. My nephew;s bday is July 7 and we are going to celebrate up there. With his bday being so close to July 4th I think just about every bday card I ever got him had fireworks on it, couldn't find any..so I opted for partying cats. It is a cute card. I think he will like it. He likes cats too.

@AmbiePam Maybe a dog person??
Of course I have some cards with dogs on them..as long as they are funny I don't object. Besides dogs are OK.

Happy Birthday to your niece. July 6th is also my birthday. I will be 69. It all depends on the occasion, and who the card is from as to what I like. I really like funny cards. But sometimes situations call for different types of cards. Get well, condolences, romantic situations, etc. I have never been one to send cards except for Christmas, and now I do not even do that. People can be so touchy. If they don't get a card from you, they stop sending cards to you. Happened too many times when I went through some bad times with no extra money to buy cards or stamps. Then it became a situation where unless I sent a card even after I had the money to do so, people didn't send to me until they received my card. Not worth that kind of thing.

Honestly I love any card given to me . . . the warm and fuzziness that someone thought of me
. Love all kinds, but I do get a kick out of "inside jokes". Like one friend, my other friend and I always bought him Snoopy cards . . . he had no idea what our fascination with Snoopy cards were. (Secretly we laughed that he looked and acted like Snoopy
).

I think that informative card it a great one for a birthday. I have no idea I have not received a card in ages. In Latvia we never exchanged cards only sentiments and wishes or phoned the person who was celebrating,

I'm sure your niece will like that card especially that it has information about the year you were born. I'm not particular when it comes to cards. I just appreciate the thought of the sender

@AmbiePam I'm glad I just bought extra stamps the other day in anticipation of the increase. One single stamp now costs more than what I make here in a day

I do not have a preference though I have liking for traditional cards. The sweet and sincere words adds to the occasion. I have seen few musical cards. In this digital age, most of the things are digital. The last time I recived a physical card was almost a decade ago. Well, would miss those times. Thanks for sharing!

I like cheap greeting cards at Dollar Tree.
I gravitate to choosing between the funny and sentimental ones.
