I did not know one could make pancakes from potatoes. I found this image on Wikipedia and looked for the recipe
The recipe seems simple and the secret is you have to add eggs - the binding factor.
I am interested and will go for it one of othese days. I like potatoes in any form.
Have you mae potato pancakes? Here is the recipe in case you are interested

@allknowing Maybe they thought they tasted a bit like fish. That would be my guess.

My mom called them potato cakes. I have tried to make them the way she showed me but even with the egg, they fall apart. So I end up with fried mashed potatoes. LOL I have seen recipes that also add flour which might help with mine. I just do not remember that she ever used flour. Normally, though we only ever made them when we had left over mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes do not last long enough for me to have any leftover.

@allknowing Not sure dexterity has anything to do with it. My mix is probably too wet. Hers was probably dryer. If you can flip a burger, you can flip a potato cake/pancake.

Have not tried making pancakes using tomatoes. Wonder how it would go using a non powder flour.

They are good eaten hot. Getting them would not be as tasty as making them at home.
