3 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from warm, sunny Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. The current temp is 85 F. Our high for the day. It's not bad out, the feels like is 87 F. There's a breeze.
Today has been good.
I'm thankful I got the sheets and blanket washed this morning when I got up. I still need to make my bed. I need to make certain I have the energy to get it done.
I'm thankful for a full night's sleep. Eight hours and I didn't get up once during the night. Not a record, but it doesn't happen often.
I'm thankful for my son's girlfriend who picked me up for my doctor's appointment. She also took me to the bank and Hy-Vee. Guess what I didn't need today because I got them on Monday? Bananas. 
I'm thankful for the doctor's appointment. He noticed the improvement in just two days time. I'm still coughing, but it's not nearly as bad as it was.
I'm thankful I have the groceries put away. It's great to see everything stocked again. And I didn't forget anything this time.
I'm thankful I worked on In the Hands of Mighty Men. It's coming along well. When I finish this edit, I'll work on Faith to Believe.
Okay, that's my day. I'm getting off the computer and will get the rest of my steps. Less than a thousand to go, and then I'll work on the foot cycle. It feels good to exercise again.
Oh yeah, I'm thankful for the scale. I dropped two pounds this morning. I'm crediting the exercise for that.

@kobesbuddy Yes, they do. I haven't seen my great-grandchildren since the oldest was 4. She's 10 now and will be 11 at the end of the month. Her sister will be 10 three days later, and my youngest great grandson will be 3 next month.

I'm glad you are back to exercising again, after feeling terrible. Now, the medication has kicked in the get rid of that infection. I slept good last night too, it was cool in here. Now, were at about 83 degrees with a light breeze coming in the windows. I'm thankful that our humidity is down a bit.

I am thankful I got the walking pad going. I walked on it for a few minutes today. I will do more tonight.

@just4him Yeah, but. Oy is it ever. Boring .That is one good thing about having it in the house though .I could just.p on and off it all day 10 minutes at a time.

I am thankful for our neighbor who mowed the lawn for George. George can do more than he thinks he can, but he needs motivated to do it. Part of him thinks he'll get bettter by waiting. And in some cases, he does alright, in others not as much. But, it's progress. I am thankfu; for Chilly, too. He is a character who I can never get bored of. Always there to keep us company or make us smile.

I woke up. My cat was still alive. The grocery store could give me a roll of quarters shortly after opening for the day. I got four loads of laundry done. A good friend texted me. I had a power nap early in the afternoon. After my nap, I had enough energy to wipe down the kitchen and hallway walls, counters, appliances, and sweep and mop the floor...

@just4him Thanks. He is nine, stays mostly indoors and does not go outside without me, so I suspect I'll be 67 before he passes on.

Thankful for further blessings and I have thanked the Lord, Cashed out for $10.47 more today and I have an Amazon card balance of $26, So looking forward to my grocery order on Saturday,

I am thankful that I was able to adapt when my favorite student, Alee, fell asleep during our piano lesson yesterday. She had been at the pool and was exhausted. I took out my guitar and sang her lullabies. She woke up a few times, saw it was me singing to her, and fell back asleep. She is almost nine now and has been my music student since she was four!
