Remember the 90s Ninja turtles live action movie? They neglected the costumes to rot!

Well I found that instead of putting in a museum, they left the ninja turtles costumes decay in a warehouse. They neglected them. These costumes are used for few movie and tv series. After the live action tv series got canceled the costumes are left for dead. Recent live action ninja turtles movies uses 3d or CGI instead of costumes. I am sad they let these costumes be eaten by termites. These costumes gave wonderful childhood memories but they decided to just throw it in a wearhouse until they rot

They could have put it in museum or something or sell it to collectors instead of letting it rot

We just visited the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures out here. Too bad these "vintage" costumes could not have been preserved and displayed in a place like that. There's a certain charm that these costumed characters had - unlike their computer generated replacements.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I don't doubt that - and it's a shame. A collector could have taken better care of them - they could have been nice pieces of nostalgia.

How rotten they had gotten looks so disturbing. they just let them be exposed to moisture and tear.

That is a shame I know that people particularly kids would have liked to see them on display,

Apparently the rubber used by Jim Henson are the same materials as nerf balls making them not durable
