The kittens disappeared

I went outside today to feed them and they aren't here anymore. They weren't hit by cars because we couldn't find them. Maybe they are hidden or they got lost. I am depressed and I want to forget about them completely. Each year they disappear. My dad said that they were here this morning. But if they were here they could come when we called them. Their mom is very aggressive to other cats. This happened each year when we couldn't find owners, they just disappeared for good. I wonder how people can have cats outside and still find them. I feel sad and I have the feeling that I will never see them again. This happened very often with all the cats that lived outdoors.

So sorry about the kittens. Could be someone carried them away to make money selling them.

I don't live in the U.S. I live in Europe, but here it's the same. No one can sell these cats because they aren't purebred.

In the U.S. few people sell cats. Most of them are given away for free.

The kittens were left outside to their own devices, often if one takes off for a reason, the others will follow. If you can't keep your cats inside and safe, you probably need to not have so many? Not trying to be mean, but cats that roam freely outside often have a very short life. Someone may have picked them up and taken them home with them, thinking they were strays, too.

They are the kittens of a stray cat. She had them in our garage. Their mom was with them all the time. Now she cries after them. I have 3 indoor cats and I can't take all the stray cats I find. I live with my parents. Those kittens deserved a better fate and I am already very depressed. I tried to find owners for them for almost a month and I couldn't find someone who could take them. And now they disappeared. I just fed them, gave them water, and played with them every day. Their mom defended them all the time.

@dya80dya Stray cats have a tendency to follow each other. They may have gone on a hike and decide to return.with cats, you just never know what they are thinking!

Have you tried looking around your neighborhood or leaving out some food in case they come back? Sometimes they wander off and come back when they're ready. Hang in there, hopefully they'll turn up soon.

Yes. It's already night and they aren't here. Their mom searched for them. They aren't anywhere. I thought that a car hit them, but they disappeared without a trace.

@dya80dya Maybe putting up some flyers around the neighborhood and asking neighbors if they've seen them could help? Don't lose hope. They might still come back.

@dya80dya May be they will come back. It is possible that someone gave them food and they are there now.

These kittens stayed in our yard, but they roamed. Yesterday they came to the building where we live. A neighbor brought them to our door. If I knew that this was the last time when they were near us... I can't believe that they disappeared so suddenly after trying to find owners for them for almost a month. No one wanted them and now they disappeared.

Outdoor cats with owners tend to always make their way back home for visits. Most of the cats in our neighborhood are strays and you can pretty much tell that they are.

These were kittens. I am not sure what happened to them. They were 3 months old.
