From Home To Apartment

United States
July 5, 2024 2:30pm CST
It's only been a week in a new apartment after my childhood home that hubby and I were living in, was sold. It feels unusual to be in a new place, but also exciting as this side of town, we lived in for a few years. Plus, we are near his family, as most of my family is all gone, except my cousins and my brother. So as of now, it's still a bit weird to live in an apartment complex. It's a beautiful place, and it's quiet, but for me, I'm still homesick, and sad. I guess in time it will be easier. Perhaps we can save for a small home one day. We definitely miss having a private back yard and home. So apartment life begins. My one complaint is that maintenance takes too long. Anyone else, transitioning from home to apartment or apartment to home? How do you deal with the changes?

No, I don't like changes in my condition.

The last time my relatives moved from a home that we used to live in to the current home was stressful due to moving my equipment to the new home and setting up the equipment inside of the current home two years ago.

We had to leave a ton behind and moved from a large home to a 1-bedroom apartment. It's only 418 sq ft.

Give it time. You keep reminding us it's been a week. You're still in the setteling in phase. George and I are going on nine years in our current house. Anything after five has felt so strange. Five years is the longest we've lived in a place. Until now.

It will take time to accustomed to your new apartment. I could imagine how you would be missing the backyards and able to do or grow whatever you want,
