A German highway patrol officer was fired by his employer after his appeal to keep his job after the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Administrative Court on Tuesday rejected his appeal to keep his job after he drove his police minibus close to a damaged truck and asked an employee of a salvage truck to hand him several undamaged packages of cheese from a refrigerated container. The former police took him back to police headquarters which was nine packages that had 44 pounds each worth $595 dollars. The former police officer did take some of the packages to his family. He said that since the cheese was damaged and he did not any of the cheese himself. The court found out that the former police officer was in uniform and he had in his possession a weapon which damaged the reputation of the police department. Normally I share the good deeds done by police officers. In this case it is a shame that a rogue police officer did violate the rules of service to his community. Link is kutv.com/news/offbeat/p....

Embarrassing much? Bad boy! Not paying for something that is not yours is called stealing even if you're a cop.

That is true since there were reports in Louisiana when a police officer was terminated for stealing from a store while with her uniform on.

It's a shame that such a misdemeanour meant the officer lost his job.

That's unfortunate to hear about the abuse of trust. It’s a reminder that accountability is crucial.
