@LindaOHio Not too keen on neapolitan, fudge ripple, or cherry vanilla. Last year when friend and I were up north we went to an ice cream place in Findley Lake New York..just over the border from PA. The ice cream did not have a good flavor and I was sorry I wasted the calories..on it.

@snowy22315 Yes, it consists of apples, mangoes, strawberries, grapes, pears, and avocados added with a little sweetened condensed milk.

@sallypup No fruits cost that much here in season, but you pay .more other times of the year of course.

They are kind of on the expensive side most of the rest of the year, and aren't as tasty.

@snowy22315 I buy store raspberries even though they cost 7.99 for 6 ounces because they have taste. Same with blueberries. Strawberries are pieces of red wood in the store.

@TheHorse Grapes seem to be cheaper this time of the year because there are so many other fruits available.

I think this year will be a watermelon year. I don't eat it often, but with as hot as it is, I just might this year. My usual go to is ice cream when it's really hot out there. Otherwise, it's fruit, any fruit except cherries, which I know you love. You can eat my portion.

@just4him The dark, sweet cherries aren't sour. The only ones that are are the bright red ones. I don't buy those.

I eat salads about 3 or 4 times per week. I like fruit salads too. Tomorrow I am having an antipasta. I usually eat the salads for lunch, but not always.

@Juliaacv No it is an antipasto It has no pasta in it. It has lettuce, cheese pepperoni, black olives, and pepperoncini. Try one sometime..I bet you will like it.

Ice cream is my favorite now. I found a good low carb one a few years back. Watermelon was for most of my life. I can’t eat much of it these days. It is too high in sugar.

Is it Brewers? I just finished my low carb Brewers last night I haven't had regular ice cream in over a year. It is kind of a trigger for me. I was thinking I might buy some at some point though but just like a pint

I seem to eat more ice cream during the summer even though it's probably my number 1 favorite snack regardless of the season. I got cherries last week and they were sweet and delicious. Also had some leftover watermelon from the 4th celebrations.

Yes, I ate a lot of watermelon over the 4th. Cherries were on special yesterday so I got some. I already had some but not too many.

I love cherries, but at $4.99 a pound and if you're lucky you might find them for between $2.99 a pound and $3.99 a pound I make it a VERY special treat.
My usual favorite is vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce that forms a hard shell on top. I was lucky and was able to get two half gallons of the good stuff at a super price and I am being really careful about how much of it I eat. Mom used to give us cantaloupe with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the area where she scooped the seeds out.

I have been buying them on sale for 2.99 per pound. I think I paid 3.49 per pound once..but 4.99 per pound is too rich for my blood.

@LadyDuck It is hard to find a watermelon with seeds these days. You would probably have to go to a farm stand. The stores all sell seedless.

@snowy22315 I also prefer honeydew melon and the small round watermelon, those are sweeter and with less seeds.
