Day 173 – Blessing
Deuteronomy 7:1 “When JEHOVAH your Elohiym brings you into the land which you go to possess, and cast out many nations before you, the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you, 2 and when JEHOVAH your Elohiym delivers them over to you, you will conquer them and destroy them. You will make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them. 3 Nor will you make marriages with them. You will not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son. 4 For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other elohiym; the anger of JEHOVAH will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly. 5 But thus, you will deal with them: you will destroy their altars, break down their sacred pillars, cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire. 6 For you are a holy people to JEHOVAH your Elohiym; JEHOVAH your Elohiym chose you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above the peoples on the face of the earth.
7 “JEHOVAH did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; 8 but because JEHOVAH loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, JEHOVAH brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9 “Therefore, know that JEHOVAH your Elohiym, He is Elohiym, the faithful El who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; 10 and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He is not slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face. 11 Therefore, you will keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them.
12 “Then it will happen, because you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them, that JEHOVAH your Elohiym will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers. 13 He will love you, bless you, and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your land, your grain, new wine, oil, the increase of your cattle, and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you. 14 You will be blessed above all peoples; there will not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock. 15 JEHOVAH will take away every sickness from you and will not afflict you with the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known but will lay them on those who hate you. 16 You will destroy the people whom JEHOVAH your Elohiym delivers over to you; your eye will not pity them; nor will you serve their elohiym, for that will be a snare to you.
17 “If you should say in your heart, ‘These nations are greater than I; how can I dispossess them?’ — 18 you will not be afraid of them, but you will remember well what JEHOVAH your Elohiym did to Pharaoh and to Egypt: 19 the great trials which your eyes saw, the signs, the wonders, the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm, by which JEHOVAH your Elohiym brought you out. So will JEHOVAH your Elohiym do to the people of whom you are afraid.
20 “Moreover, JEHOVAH your Elohiym will send the hornet among them until those who are left, who hide themselves from you, are destroyed. 21 You will not be terrified of them; for JEHOVAH your Elohiym, the great and awesome El, is among you.
22 “JEHOVAH your Elohiym will drive out those nations before you little by little; you will be unable to destroy them at once, lest the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. 23 However, JEHOVAH your Elohiym will deliver them over to you, and will inflict defeat upon them until they are destroyed. 24 He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you will destroy their name from under heaven; no one can stand against you until you destroy them. 25 You will burn the carved images of their elohiym with fire; you will not covet the silver or gold on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you be snared by it; for it is an abomination to JEHOVAH your Elohiym. 26 Nor will you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it. You will detest it and abhor it, for it is an accursed thing.

What kind of life do you have? Do you see trouble or triumph? Does it seem like everyone is against you or do people want to be like you and everything you do works well for you?
Moses told the people what they were to do to the nations in the land JEHOVAH would give them. He told them how JEHOVAH would defeat their enemies, and how He would bless them when they obeyed Him. Moses told the people they were a special treasure to JEHOVAH and He would bring them into the land and bless them.
When you accepted Yeshuwa, JEHOVAH’S Son, as Savior and Lord, you also became a special treasure to JEHOVAH.
1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of Theos, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Every blessing JEHOVAH gave His people belongs to you as His child. He will do the same to your enemies, as He did for His chosen people when you obey Him.
Your life matters. When you obey Elohiym, He will bless you. If you ignore Him and stand against Him, He will destroy you. It’s not a hard choice to make if you want to live in peace with JEHOVAH’S love on you.
Let’s pray: Father, I want Your blessing on my life. Help me to be obedient to You in everything. Let my life show Your praise and blessing, so people who don’t know You will know You and want Your blessing in their lives too. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I wonder why God had a chosen race, and allowed other races to exist, without him seemingly helping them. God allowed his people to destroy totally other nations in their way.
It is good that with the coming of his son here, God became more available to all nations now.

Jesus had to come from one specific line from Adam. Seth became that line when Cain killed Abel. So, it was through Seth's lineage that Jesus came into the world.
Those other nations didn't believe in God and followed idols.
Yes, through Jesus, we all have the opportunity for eternal life.
I hope your day was blessed.

@innertalks Jesus' lineage gives us hope because we aren't perfect. There are two women mentioned in his lineage that came from foreign countries. Ruth was a Moabitess, and Rahab was from Jericho in Canaan.
I'm glad you had a good day. Yes, I did too.

@just4him Yes, lineage is important, and it was needed that Jesus came from this line, going back to Adam, a line that stayed relatively pure, compared to the other lines, that strayed away. Perhaps God ensured that at least one line stayed pure, so that his son could be born into a pure line too.
I had a good day, and I hope that you did too.
