Well, the list will undoubtedly grow. Because of all of this rain, looking out at the back at the pool, I can already tell I will have to spend some time not just adjusting chemicals, and probably running the vacuum a bit, but siphoning off some water. Plus, I have to get the grass cut, so that's on the list. It's been a couple of cuts since I broke out the weed whacker and did along the fence and what not, so I will probably do that as well. I guess if nothing else it will give me something to do. But I would also like to get at least a blog written and maybe a piece for HubPages. We'll see how it goes.

How is it going with HubPages? I haven't written for them in years. Have a good day.

@porwest When I cashed out, I pulled all my material off the site. Hope you and Dawn have a good day.

I would say "well." I like that they got away from the comments and the you-scratch-my-back-and-I'll-scratch-yours thing. Now you're writing articles for real audiences rather than relying on interactions to fuel traffic. I like that. For a site geared toward actual writing, it makes it more legit. By the way, what's your handle there? I'd like to check out your stuff.

@LindaOHio Aww shucks. You know you could have continued to earn on that stuff. I have articles still making money from 15 years ago and they continued to earn even when I went on a very long hiatus.

Ahhh…the never ending list of chores! One of the funnest parts of adulting. And guess what, after you cut the grass, you get to do it all over again next week!

@porwest I don’t remember signing up for this life of repetitiveness when I was approaching adulthood.

Thank you. I hope so too. I am sure I can. After all, it's not like I have to go to work or anything. I have a lot of day to git-r-done. lol

@kaylachan Yep. Last July. Or was it two Julys ago? Hmm. Losing track. Enjoying every bit of it, though. I may go back to work part time during the winter, but I am not totally decided yet. Nope. It was last July. I had just turned 50 and now I am 51. Gosh, I hope the memory is not going. lol

Did you have any severe in your area? We got a “special weather statement” for Louisville, but nothing else here.

@porwest — yep. They say the same thing about James Spann in Alabama.

@FourWalls I guess everyone's got a weatherman with some schtick and a reputation for being a little over the top.

Yesterday was a lot of heavy rain but heard very little thunder. We had a doozie of a storm on Monday in the evening. It was really coming down and some trees lost a few branches. Nothing too serious, and our weatherman, Steve Templeton, never once took off his suit jacket or rolled up his sleeves, a sure sign nothing serious was on the way. It's a going joke around here that when Templeton takes his jacket off and rolls up his sleeves, head for the basement. lol

Good luck with getting everything done that you want to. The jobs pile up occasionally.

Seems like the lists never get smaller. You take away two completed tasks and three more appear. lol

That's sounds really fun, we have so much to do we don't know which to do 1st, specially outside, & in the cabin, it's crazy.

Fun may not be the exact word I would use, but it's stuff I generally don't mind doing.

@porwest there's a lot of things we don't like to do or don't want to do but all in all we have to get it done or it gets over whelming to get done.

Sometimes the highlight of a busy weekend is just sitting on the deck after all the yard work is done and everything looks trim and nice having a cold one. Our house isn't in the country, but where it's at, you feel like you are. Of course, you'd probably say we're in the country considering all the cornfields around here.
