9 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from hot, muggy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. The current temperature is 82 F and feels like 85 F.
I have a lot to be thankful for, especially where I live in the US. I'm not complaining about the weather, though I would like it cooler. However, there are places in this country that are much hotter, and right now are hitting triple digits. The southeast and Carribbean coast get hurricanes. Then there's tornado alley. Wisconsin is in the best place in the US for weather. We don't get hurricanes, triple digit heat, and tornadoes are rare, though we get them. The most we can expect is a blizzard in winter, though those have been rare in the past couple of years. I hope that changes this winter. You all know how much I love winter and a blizzard would make my day perfect.
I'm thankful for Bible study this morning. We also discussed our place in the US and the wonderful weather we have here, along with the Bible study, which included a history note about the Johnstown flood of 1889. That got us on the weather topic.
I'm thankful for the shopping trip after Bible study. I only wanted bananas and watermelon. My friend who took me shopping after Bible study told me to take my time and look around. So, I got my steps and did a little more shopping. I remembered a couple things I forgot I needed. I didn't need much since I did my major shopping last week.
I'm thankful for the walk I got around the complex when I got home. It really was too warm to go on the trail, so I just walked the sidewalk around the complex.
I'm thankful for the work I did on Guns of War. I didn't open In the Hands of Mighty Men because I'm still puzzling over the change I need to make in the next chapter I'm working on. Maybe I can finish Guns of War this year. That would be great. I've been working on it since I owned my home, so maybe ten years.
I'm thankful I spent time with you today. I have the notifications done twice today. It's always good to learn how things are in your world, especially the heat you're facing so I can pray for you.
I'm thankful for the scale. It didn't go up today, down either, so I'm happy.
Okay, that's my day. I have my game played. Time to get off the computer and either find something to eat or watch TV and work on the foot cycle, or both.

I'm thankful for the rain we got. It hit 91, but felt 101. The rain cooled things down a bit. It also cooled things down a little bit. Not as much as I would've liked, but we haven't hit the worst of it yet. I'm thankful George didn't put up a fight. and I got some stuff done. I'm thankful I didn't put off the dish washer either. So, that's good, too.

I love your veranda.
Can you share a bit on your project, are you writing a book? I think if you do, that is awesome. I also want to write a book but I think it is not a time, or maybe that is not my 100% calling.

I had ate very little today but the scale says I gained. I think it's messed up

Today, I'm thankful for the supportive community here and for the opportunity to connect with you. Hearing about your day always brightens mine. I am also thankful that the child birth of my youngest sister was successful. Another angel added to our family.

That sounds like you have had a productive day, & things are going good for you
we haven't done a whole lot today but be lazy & sleep cause it just rained all day.
The only thing I can think of being thankful for is that the day was a nice day to
just sleep it away, cause we worked like 5 hrs in the cabin yesterday.
