The Nonsense Continues

Those of you who have been a member here at least as long as I have may recall me posting about my next-door neighbor. Things are and are not better. She's still spreading lies about me to every new resident and employee here, and some who were living here or began working here before or within a year after I moved in still believe her, but those who've been around me long enough to notice the truth these past two years are calling her out and turning against her now. Today, one, who will have been living here one year next month, told me exactly what my next-door neighbor told her within a day or so of moving in. She told her I am a monster who stands by her windows daily, looking into her apartment (I AM LEGALLY BLIND). I stand by her door eavesdropping everyday (I walk by it on my way to the dumpster sometimes, but never stand near it). I am stalking her (I LIVE HERE, TOO, so there are always times we are in the hallway, laundry, or community rooms at the same time). The fact that she's gotten away with this for two years hurts. After my neighbor told me what my next-door neighbor tells everyone, I went into my apartment and cried. The McDonald's Drive-thru employee who dispensed the Diet Coke for me and my friend (who picked them up while I was at the doctor) forgot to add rum, and I seriously needed snuggle and TV time with Mom. She's dead. I am the family matriarch now, away from my older cousins, so I opted to call a lawyer again call, and had to leave a message. I'll meet with friends again on Thursday and I will talk to them about it then. Two years! It's been two years! She knows she's lying. Our maintenance man, whose wife is good friends with my next-door neighbor, knows she is lying, and so do many other people in this place. It's time for the nonsense to stop because I am not moving out.

The whole situation is ridiculous; and it's a pity that you live next door to her. Hang in there and have a good day.

Thanks. I hope you have a good day, too. The sad part is this woman is 67-years-old. How sad that a 56-year-old is more mature than she is.

I can imagine how hard it is. Try not to let it stress you, Virtual hugs, Heck, figure out a way I can get to you, I'll bring my handy skillet and sock her one to bring her to her senses

Thanks for the offer. You're not the only one who said she'd do that.

That's disgusting. I think she wants you out of the apartment just because she doesn't like you.

@Chellezhere Just don't give in. You are staying in your house and not at her mercy.

Maybe if you sue her for slander that will shut her up. Sorry you are dealing with this.

I'm really sorry to hear about what you're going through with your neighbor spreading lies. It must be incredibly frustrating and hurtful. It's good to hear that people who know you are seeing through these falsehoods. Hang in there and take care of yourself. Talking to a lawyer sounds like a wise step.

Thank you. Yes, now that others see right through those falsehoods, maybe something will finally be done.

Some neighbors are from hell. They persist in dragging us down to their level. Ignore and move on - may not be easy though.
