Is this writer's block?

For starters, I am not an actual writer. I write for Mylot, so that makes me somewhat a "writer", right?
Anyway, as much as I want to start a discussion, I cannot think of any specific topic.
I have so many topics planned throughout the day, but when I come in fornt of the computer opening Mylot, these topics seems to just disperse into thin air.
Somebody would say, I should write on a notepad when an idea comes. Yes, I will try to do that. But even tapping on my notepad would even prove nearly improbable for me since I cannot free my hands that easy.
Any other useful tips for me, please? Thanks.

@__iVl___ There is a term we use in the "real" writing world, and while it applies mostly to short stories and novels, or otherwise fiction mostly, it can apply to how we start writing about things in a forum like this as well.
"En medias res." It's a Latin term. It simply means, "in the middle of things." And that's where most stories you will find start.
Say you write a story about a girl facing a consequence of something she did a month ago. You start in the middle of the consequence and work your way backward to fill in the details of the story as to how she got there.
You could do that here as well.
When I woke up this morning, the sun was shining through the bedroom window, and I knew right away I had overslept. The night before I knew there was something I was forgetting, and it didn't occur to me until that moment, two hours late already to work, and probably now three.
The battery. I was supposed to replace the battery backup in my alarm clock in case the power went out, so it would still sound off on time.
Hope that helps.

Wow @porwest Bravo!
Staring blankly at the flashing cursor, I now realize that writing your ideas is not as easy as it seems.
Just a few days ago, I thought I could average two posts per day on Mylot on top of answering comments to my earlier discussions. But alas!
Haha. How's that?

@grenery8 Yes, but easier said than done. Just now it seems I have so many things to write about my day. But turning on Mylot, I cannot start like I don't even know how to begin.
I guess I am not the "journal" type where I can just as easily put on a note whatever happened to me today.
But still working on it.

Real writer or simply putting words on a page, sometimes you're going to stare at a blank screen. It just goes with the territory. But the nice thing about myLot is that you can write about just about anything you want, and so it makes the fodder for things to write about much more plentiful.
You can write about your day, or what you had for breakfast. You can write about how much you enjoyed your coffee and what you plan to do tomorrow. You can write about how you're feeling or something you saw in the news that you found interesting.
Or you can just write about having nothing to write about. lol

To solve things immediate, use a regular pen and book. Whenever an idea comes, write in down in your own words and keep it . Write one idea at a time and that helps to capture the idea in full and not in parts. It is easier to write things own than to note it in your phone or laptop. When time perimits, use the ideas from the book and then visit mylot. Avoid overthinking and stress as noth of these can cause indirectly writer's block. Good Luck!

Hi @RevivedWarrior Thanks for this valuable tip! Now I have to get used to carrying a little pocket notebook and pen. For example when I am doing something else and my mind tends to wander, then I would have to take down keywords and expand later on. Yes, this is really helpful!
