Do you ever watch TV shows from other countries?

I know a lot here like British TV, but I don't watch it, especially comedy shows because I find it hard to get the references and it isn't really funny to me. I have watched a couple of Brit mysteries that were pretty good though. I was watching an Australian TV show last night (@JudyEV would be proud especially since it takes place in Queensland.) I think it is called Secrets and Lies. The actor was a hottie who looked very much like Keith Urban. Anyway, it was pretty good, got tired of it after awhile though.

For me, "other countries" include the US. I watch American and British movies and much less movies from other countries. I hardly ever watch serials.

@snowy22315 In my country many people watch Turkish serials and soap operas. I don´t like them because I often forget at what time I must turn on the TV.

We watch them and have enjoyed them. We don’t like all the ones with captions though.

The one I really liked was The Squid Game which is Korean. That was really good. I think they are going to be presenting the Squid Game II shortly.

Aren't we all interesting people in what we can relate to and what we can't? I like British humour but find it hard to 'get' a lot of the US humour. Luckily there are plenty of programs from both countries. That's nice that you saw an Australian show. I'm sure some find Australian humour hard to relate to too.

@snowy22315 I love British comedies. I grew up with them and just love them. I do love some Aussie movies and TV shows and some really are an icon here but I usually prefer anything else.

Some Aussie stars here got their start over there Anthony Lapaglia and Simon something can't remember his last name were both famous here for awhile .and of course Mel and Nicole. When they interview Mel Gibson here he talks like an American, but interviewed there he sounds Australian

Haven't seen any of those. I will sometimes watch a foreign film if the story appeals to me.

I watch a lot of Anime and I watch shows from Spain, Korea and Japan now English dub is a thing in Netflix. I like the British comedies too because of dry humor

I am not a huge fan of English humour, so I do not tend to watch shows from England.
Naturally, we do watch alot of American television and shows.
And although we share a continent, we do differ in so many ways, we notice little things when we watch some shows.
Yet, it has to be done for the camera, people on here from the US do not strike me as anything even close to what I have seen on shows.

I mostly like our Canadian shows. I watch American and British shows a lot. Some really good Australian series we've enjoyed.
We watched Wallander, a Swedish detective show. It was very good. Reading subtitles is work though. We watched it over again in English with Kenneth Branagh.
We watch a lot of shows.
