Contributing to the needy and less priveleged is something that helps us to better humans . Volunteering and charity events , known and unknown , could make a lot of difference for people . There are people who contribute for unknown people through legit organizations. There are people who contribute for known people. So, What has been the most meaningful charitable activity you have participated in?

Charities long ago got my boot. They kept sending me things. Gifts. Trinkets. Greeting cards. Address labels. Coffee mugs. Tee shirts. I called them and told them to stop. "Put the money to the cause," I told them. They didn't stop, so I stopped donating.

I donate small amount to two of these organisations. I know them on personal level and know that my money is actually reaching the needful. I am a volunteer at one organisation working for special needs children and young adults. I do participate in the fund raising event every Christmas for them, especially for the blind school that they run.

@RevivedWarrior This is a good question but also a tough one! I donate often to charity shops with things I don't need anymore but if you mean financially, I have donated to many different organisations here and there over the years. But they all mean something to me whether it relates to me or not because they are all important. Donating to organisations that help with cancer and dementia is something on a personal note because our family has experienced / is experiencing family members who had / have it. But other charities such as ones to help the poor, children, animals, research, etc, it's still all meaningful to me because I feel for those who need help one way or another.
