Follow up Inspection

Ghee! Go figure. It was no surprise when tonight we got still another memo from Housing saying that maintenance would be here yet again tomorrow. In May we had the regular inspections that we have each year. Two of them. Then in June we were told that between the 4th and the 11th our apartment might be chosen for a surprise inspection. Then toward the end of June maintenance was supposed to come but never did to do some water heater repairs to bring everything up to code for HUD who finances all of this. They never came. Now in July they have been here once to do that same repair and, now again tomorrow they are scheduling to be here yet again. The problem being that my daughter and grandson have bikes that they store in the storage cubby and that is where they have to go to access the water heater. That means the bikes have to be left outside. I hope that they aren't stolen. This last memo even apologized for the continued inspection entries. That was nice that they atleast acknowledge that they are bugging us big time. I hope this time will be the last. It is so hot we don't sleep much anyway but having them come at the crack of day sure gets old with three to five men coming in talking loud scares our cats and they go hide for most of the day. It was 106 today. Ugh!

That's just terrible and it would totally tick me off. I'm sorry for all the stress.

I'm so tired of it. It sure does stress me out. If maintenance sees anything untidy they go tell Housing.

I’ve been having a hard time sleeping too with the heat which is why I’m here at myLot at 2am. I really hope the bikes don’t get stolen that would be so terrible. Maybe while they are there your daughter or grandson can stay outside with the bikes.

I hope all goes smoothly and they finally get it over with. Is there any place to lock the bikes?

No place to lock the bikes. I told my daughter to just bring them in and if maintenance wasn't done they could get with us if they couldn't get to the heater.

@celticeagle And, that's what you need to remind yourself when things don't go your way.

Cool and hydrated really is what I am trying to do. It's like an oven in here. Triple digits.

@LindaOHio .....Luckily today it is only 75 degrees. It was horrible yesterday and we still have the rest of July and August to get through.
