Scientists report that climate change may set Europe up for a deep freeze due to changes in the warm Gulf Stream. Temperatures could fall to 18 to 27F (10 to 15C). There is a 70% chance of La Nina coming between August and October; and an 80% chance in the winter time. This will have a cooling affect on the brutal global heat and could trigger intense Atlantic hurricanes this fall. Calling my doctor again about this UTI. I only have 1 sulfa pill left; and I don't think it has cleared up. Hubby didn't call last night. :-( I wonder how his PT went. Breakfast - Protein bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Meatball sub, broccoli, carrots, plum Dessert/Snack - Banana walnut muffin Dinner - PB&J sandwich What did you eat yesterday? Photo Credit: Pixabay

So now the scientists think that that climate change may set Europe up for a deep freeze, while last year they said that Europe was getting a TROPICAL country. I see they have clear ideas about that!

I guess with all the Arctic ice water affecting the Gulf Stream, the prognosis is for cold rather than warmth.

@LindaOHio If the ice melts it means that the Arctic is A LOT hotter, so it cannot mean cold. The ice melts with hot water and, the times it reaches the coastlines it's no more cold. Put 3 ice cubes in a hot large pot of coffee and check.

The fact is that when it comes to ANY predictions climate nuts have made over the past 50 years, not a single one has ever come true, and yet rather than go back and look at the track record of REALITY, people allow the nonsense they are spitting out today dictate their truths. Madness. Hell, the ONLY reason we changed the name from global warming to climate change is because it was actually found the planet was COOLING. Not warming. Then they said it's changing weather patterns, and yet we have no more storms than we ever had and they aren't more severe. But of course now everytime we have a big storm they add in, "Due to climate change." They can't make up their minds. It's a load of crap. But of course, climate change is a BIG money grab, and so... Where's there's money... If you want to get people to easily and willingly part with their money through more taxes for climate change initiatives, all you have to do is scare them into submission. No one is going to actually look at history to see if any of this stuff is believable. "It's really hot today, it MUST be climate change. Good Heaven's their RIGHT!" Even if the hottest day on record was in 1952. lol

I agree with Anna. I too read a similar kind of article some time back raising the concern that Europe will get warmer and more like tropical countries. This report is contrast to that. But one thing is for sure that we are witnessing some crazy climate changes in the recent times. Nothing comes as a surprise.. Your meal sounds good..I am going to have lunch in some time. Cooked chicken curry for my family and black beans and egg plant fry for my vegetarian self.

We had toast with applebutter for breakfast. Lunch was baked chicken, beets (your favorite) green beans. Nothing for dinner as I was still full from lunch. Snacks were some peanuts and some tootsie rolls.

Another simple dinner night. I made some On-Cor riblets (nope, STILL have not made sandwiches out of them), and we had broccoli and curried rice on the side.

That is not really a cool weather news. While here in the Philippines the weather is extremely hot and then suddenly it will rain, I am not praying that it will not trigger earthquakes also. I hope everything will be ok and you'll getter better and better. God bless and drink a lot of water also.

When I lived in Latvia we had about 2 weeks in January each year with temps way below 0. I had some chicken strips breaded with Thai sauce and tater tots,
