I’ve been rabbiting on about a country and western night that we’re attending tonight. I had bought a kid’s cowboy outfit at a two-dollar type store but the hat is really too small and looks a bit ridiculous. I found a hat of Vince’s which would be okay. I’ll need to fold up the sides and secure them but I’ve worked out how to do that. The hat was quite dirty and has a stiff brim. I soaked it last night then wrung it out as best I could. I was ironing the brim to dry it and accidentally scorched it. So off I went to Mr/Mrs Google who told me to iron over the scorch marks with a cloth dampened with hydrogen peroxide. Lo and behold, it worked and the scorch marks came out. The hat is just about dry and is sitting out in the sun. I have red/pink fringing on my shirt and have found a red ribbon for my hat so I’m a happy chappy. I’m not sure cowgirls have ribbons on their hats but this one is going too. It should be fun.
