Every single step that we take counts. I am all for reduce, reuse and recycle. Save on water, electricity, less plastic... the list is endless. I too walk to my workplace. I take my car only if it is raining

Yes, every single step counts in both ways - toward increasing the toxin output, and toward protecting the nature. I'm firmly toward the solar energy. It's free for all of us. As well as, it helps the human race in a huge way. I prefer walking over even cycling.

I think India is on the way to embracing green energy. We are having more of electric vehicles. That has become the need of the hour. But the issue is that we again need some sort of energy to make electric vehicles run.
So in that case, solar energy comes out as the best green energy alternative.

@abhi_bangal We all should sooner get into alternative green energy sources. It is going to help in a big way.

I only buy products that are made from good ingredients and with containers that are the same. I hope that people will vote here in the U.S. for the man who is setting up programs to help with global warming and not for a man who want to slash any such programs completely and doesn't even want those words used. It is very scary what all this man wants to do if he should get into office. He even wants to slash NATO and no longer have the U.S. apart of it.

@abhi_bangal .......This is what we all need to realize. We all need to work together, and that includes countries. Trump wants to cut out NATO which brings the countries together. He wants to slash away the Constitution. He wants to jail those who don't agree with him. He wants to slash the programs Biden has started in car production, education, global warming, and so many others. He wants to be authoritarian when he comes into office. He doesn't believe in global warming so he doesn't want the programs. His ignorance of so many things will take away from the country. Biden wants to keep the wetlands intact and Trump wants to mine and the waste from that will ruin the wetlands. Trump wants only what is good for him and his ego. He is a liar and most of what he says is drama to help him, not our country.

@celticeagle You have opened up too much, sounds to me. And you have spoken out your heart. I wasn't really aware of why there is so much discussion opposing Trump. But after reading and hearing all this, especially your response, I too have become a bit serious about what the future will be.
Nurturing and keeping wetlands is really quite important for all of us. You can say it's the heart of the environment and the climate in general. There's no point in mining even our healths are at risk.

Oh my gosh, the discussion to contribute to saving the nature started from global warming came to the US Presidential elections But the topics are so closely related, that is naturally likely to happen. I'm getting what you are saying. But I don't understand the policy behind this. Why don't they want to not even refer to those words? Why do they want to slash such programs? I mean it's the need of the hour. Doing nothing about that ultimately it's going to spell a doom's day for us all.
We can't say we are apart, we can't say your policies won't affect someone else, some key development happening there isn't going to impact others. Gone are those days. We are all connected. And it's not easy to stay away in this global village.

We do quite a abit here. Our garden has more greenery than flowers, we have compost pits for garbage and even though we have a well we do not waste water.

Wow... You are definitely doing your bit. Great to read that you are doing so much for the nature. It's quite heartening to see that. We must take care of small things too. And these small things contribute toward making a big difference.

Absolutely. And many individuals put together will make a bigger difference. But, the thing is that all such individuals should come under one roof and think on the same lines. If there's uniformity in the thinking process, we will soon see huge positive differences. And it won't be too long.

There's no air conditioning installed in our house as well. We do use fans and that's sufficient. We still haven't bought a car either. So I have to rely on my bike if I need to travel around.
But yes air conditioning does make the rooms inside cooler. But, the hot air keeps going out and so many air conditioning units mean a lot of hot water air going outside. This in turn makes the planet warmer and warmer day by day.

@abhi_bangal We do not plan to install an air conditioner, the fans are good enough to keep the temperature cool. The temperature of a city with many A/C installed can rise of 3 C, that is a lot.

I think you live in Switzerland, right? You are already in a cooler environment than our's. We are near the equator, that's why the temperature over here is more compared to yours. But yes installation of many AC units definitely means that the outer temperature will go up. That's why planting more trees is important for us here.
I suppose you are using ceiling fans.

That's quite nice of you, ma'am. Recycling can do a lot of cost-cutting. And that's why I feel it should be an integral part of any manufacturing line. But the only thing that hurts is the plastic thing.

I don't think mother nature needs saving but the people who live on this planet often do need some help. Myself I travel quietly around in my spacecraft observing. Yes, everything is changing. I've learned in the universe this is what happens. What it changes into we might not have a lot of say in?

Yes. We people do need help at times. And this could be for any reason. But I agree with your view that everything is changing. And this change is the major cause of our worries. It's kind of war like situation. We have to fight. And fight for our future generations. And I hope our efforts are paid off. Let's wish ourselves good luck!

Recycling is one of the main pillars to save the environment. There are a lot of things especially the plastic waste that we can recycle. Because it's non-degradable. If all of us take recycling seriously, it will contribute in a major way to save our nature and environment.
And yes donating can also help. There by increasing the life cycle of that particular item. This in turn, pushes the manufacturing cycle, thereby contributing to safer environment.
