Has anyone seen the video of Mr. Donald Trump getting shot at a rally? That was something enough to give you goosebumps. But did you see, how pumped he was when he was being whisked away by the security guards.

Yes, I saw it. That is one tough man...The Secret Service Sniper killed the shooterl A Trump fan was killed and another injured. Trump is okay..just got his ear...Not really surprised as you hear the Opinionated News people saying "Looks like the only way Trump can be beat is either put him in jail or kill him" I guess SOMEONE took that to heart. News people should be more careful in what they say!

Well without doubt he is a tough man even at this age. You cannot imagine what energy he has. And as you saw the video you might also have seen how pumped he looked when the security people were taking him away to safety. Media can easily flow with the current situations especially when they become hot. And it often happens here in India. Media has its own share of responsibilities and I think they can easily influence people in the good or bad way.

@Ghostlady Hmm... people are the same everywhere - both good and bad. God has given us, what we call the human nature, be it the US or India, or any other country for that matter.

Perfectly natural response from the former president. After the initial shock and confusion, he would have been on an adrenalin high.

Adrenaline, as a lot of friends here are saying. That could be it. But could it be something like this - he was okay and there's no adrenaline. And, after a few moments of being out of sight immediately after the shooting, he gathered himself. Until then the security guards also came by in a matter of a few seconds. And because he was assured that he was physically protected and surrounded, he came out strong with his body language. After all, he is the President and has that much adroitness. Guys please, this is just a guess and I am just trying to make my thoughts clearer. That's it.

@abhi_bangal He NOT the President. He is a former president who was a disgrace to our Country. And he is NOT "adroit." Except perhaps at golf. "After all, he is the President and has that much adroitness."

Adrenaline does incredible things to a person. I’d be full of fury if someone tried to kill me.

Adrenaline is something that's not in one's hands. It happens as a natural development inside the human body. But yes, it makes us ready for a fight. And things like these happen instantaneously. And that's why if you said you would be full of fury if someone tried to hurt you, that's adrenaline for you.

@abhi_bangal He is not a leader. But he is an American citizen, and has the right not to be shot at. We all have that right.

@LeaPea2417 I think good luck protected Trump. God would have protected the 2-year-old girl at my friend's preschool whose daddy left her mommy alone with the baby at the homeless shelter. OK, maybe God protects us all. I don't know

His reaction was a true sign of courage, resolve and an unwavering commitment to the American people despite all odds. If that isn't leadership, I don't know what else could be?

I agree with you. He is a committed leader and wants to do a lot as he can. The way we saw him pumped up, was a straightforward and clear reply to those who tried to harm him. He easily meant to say, here I am. And I'll come back strong. You can't stop me like that.

Yes I saw it. I was hoping he would learn from this that obviously he is thinking and doing thing that aren't right and making people upset. Or maybe the person had mental issues like the shooters that killed President Kennedy and attempted to kill President Reagan. But this has made Trump more pumped up, to proceed in his "not so good" ways. Not good!

@abhi_bangal Who knows! I would not like anyone to be killed. But Trump is not strong, he is a person with a poor attitude.

@abhi_bangal No! I never said that he should be killed. I dislike him to be president but I certainly don't want to see him killed or even badly hurt! I never said that. If you go back you will see where I said , just what I said.

@dfollin Yeah, I have heard so many people talk about his approach, and that his attitude isn't good or that he brings disgrace to the US. But at the same time, I have also heard the same people disliking him. But still they don't mean that he should be killed. You are also reciprocating the same feelings.

Some things, some untoward things happen in our life in such a way that we come out stronger. We don't know our own potential until then. I'm not saying Trump doesn't know his. But it's just that the superman in us comes out with full energy to make things happen.

I read the shooting news early morning here. I followed it for a while. But then my day started and had to move out. Just back a few minutes before. Being busy outside, I couldn't follow the day's developments later. But it looks like everything is okay with the former President.

@TheHorse Yes, I too just read that a bystander was killed. Probably that happened in just the heat of the moment. And that's quite understandable.

@abhi_bangal The Secret Service says that Donald Trump is safe following the incident. A bullet struck his ear but it's not a serious injury.

@abhi_bangal In India it is more of all out war by the politicians going for the jugular 24/7. And they manage to divide the people into various permutations and combinations.

I know its late response . However , need to point 2 things. One, for past 2 decades inspite of all controversial things he has down , he was never shot. It was in this rally , he was shot. Second, Secret service well known for being proactive and protective of its former POTUS , could not do so. Worse, it was a shot from a 20 year old who never had any such history. It might be strange incidents , but then perhaps co-incidences! Any case, his rally would now see more support!

"Any case, his rally would now see more support!" This is the result of an emotional wave that sweeps the public. And the person gets the benefit. There have been cases when a political leader passes away or is murdered, and his son/daughter fights the election in his place. And gets elected quite convincingly. This could be one such case as well. People will likely stand by Mr. Trump. Secondly, what you were talking about the shooter... You mean the security was allowed to be breached knowingly? As far as the shooter is concerned, he not having any history isn't surprising. At such times, only such people are selected to do the job, who don't have history. Such things are a part of the plan, if any.
