I've Come to a Conclusion

I know that I sort of obsess about dying but I do think about it a lot. I have these really weird thoughts too like what if something happens and the kids have to bury me? I cannot handle the thought of being buried under the earth. Ooooh! Creepy. I am curious about what happens after death. I have watched so many documentaries about near-death experiences, and questions about death and what happens. None of those really answer my main question. What happens after death? I actually had an idea recently that helped me quite a lot. As seniors get older I think that they get to a point where the quality of life is no longer very positive and it causes them to feel like they would be better off dead. Why live any longer if you can't be happy or do what you are used to doing? After that death might seem more like something a person can grasp better and feel more able to accept. My feeling is that I am not yet in that mindset. I have a lot of life left to live. So, I need to get after living and quit questioning it so much. And, maybe I will learn more as I live and get older so that when I get to that later stage I will feel better about it. I still feel some anxiety about it but not as bad now.

My worst nightmare has always been buying buried when still alive. As doctors can make mistakes, I asked to be cremated... at least it's quickly done.

@LadyDuck ......I was too. And then I tend to over think things so that really sent me into a tale spin.

@LadyDuck .......I hate it about myself too. Depression and over thinking don't mix very well.

I think about dying every day. My husband and I are at those ages; and I read almost every day about performers that we loved in the 60s and 70s are passing away; and I often wonder...are we next? I believe in God; but I'm afraid of dying. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I think that must be pretty common. I don't believe in God and am very weirded out about dying. Enjoy your week.
