But still can't walk without crutches. Burl Jam is having a "bonus practice" today, out in Antioch, but I may give it a miss. I think "Durt Cheap" is having a practice tomorrow, closer by, so I'll save my energy for that.
Of course I am saddened by the shooting at the Trump rally yesterday. I hope Trump and the two other who were hit make speedy recoveries. I don't think they have identified the person who was killed. The shooter was apparently a 20-year-old male.
I'll be loosely following the news, but I have to deal with things I can control. I WAS able to teach at Guitar Center yesterday. Durt Cheap has a gig this Thursday, and I want to make that. I can play bass sitting down.
I hope your Sunday is shaping up well. I may try to get some bills and dishes done today.

I'm glad that you're being careful and using your crutches!!! Keep off the knee as much as possible.
They did identify the shooter. And it was announced on the news that he used a "high powered automatic police weapon". Uhhh, as I will maintain there is more to the shooting than a disgruntled or mentally ill 20 year old male on a roof top taking pot shots at a presidential candidate. First off the security team ALWAYS checks the surrounding buildings for possible threats to former presidents, presidential candidates, and other important people to be sure that there are no potential shooters or weapons. What happened to that? Should I go on????
Sorry, but as I say, I'm about as political as a rock and I discussed the shooting with the neighbor for over two hours last night then had dreams about it all night long....I want something happy to occupy my day so maybe I'll have a happy sleep tonight. Especially when I spent that two hours trying to get certain points through to the neighbor...like my gut feelings about things missing from the videos of the shooting and how the guy could be such a horrible shot. (Please don't chew me out for that comment, it's just with weaponry now days and the sites on weapons....)
Off to happier things...it's already a stinker...it's not even 10 a.m. and it's 85 degrees...wanna guess what the high will be?

@TheHorse That's what struck me, and they usually check out the buildings more thoroughly. As I said to the friend of mine that was watching the news report on my TV, there are crawl spaces between the floors of older buildings...great spaces to hide out while the buildings are searched.

@TheHorse I forgot to ask if the knee was right or left...which of course would basically suck either way if you drive a stick shift, but I was hoping the truck was an automatic and that it wasn't your right knee!

Yeah, I'm trying to get other stuff done myself. My son and I are trying to round up enough Hemlock poles to eventually build my wife a proper greenhouse. The heat and humidity are pretty bad though so we keep coming back for water and long breathers.

It could. How weird that there were people who saw the guy on the roof and it took the police/Secret Service so long to respond. As you know, I watch airplane crash videos. Poor communication is responsible for so many accidents.

I am glad to know that I hope your knee keeps getting better, That shooting was something I was expecting to happen since the way Trump was behaving, However, from what I understood it was more a warning shooting of some kind than a direct hit because when they analyzed it they said the shooter could have easily hit Trump, One way or another I am still a person who thinks no one deserves to be shot for any reason, I hope you have a good start to the new week,

@moffittjc I don't know yet. I am an old man, but I still like hiking. I'd let them go in there and scrape things out if it would allow me to continue hiking.
