Animal services officials in Chula Vista California are trying to find the owners of 11 hogs that were seen in a neighborhood on Monday July 1. Chula Vista Animal Services with the help of County Animal Services were able to get capture nine piglets, a pot bellied pig and a mother sow were rounded up into a trailer as the 11 hogs were seen in a gated driveway that covered two properties. The owners of the hogs have yet to come forward and report their hogs missing. The hogs are currently staying at the San Diego County Animal Shelter in Bonita. If no one claims the lost hogs within four days, the officials at the animal shelter will try to find them new homes. Hopefully the hogs will reunite with their owners soon. I am in agreement with you that if I saw a hog I would be scared myself.

They could be feral pigs. We have some in certain areas of Florida. Some ended up in neighborhood freezers, the rumor goes. They tear up lawns looking for who knows what. They can be dangerous to people, especially when caught outside.

I would not want to mess around with a hog myself.

That's a lot of hogs for nobody to put their hand up as theirs. Let's hope new homes are found, or some might go to the butcher's shop instead.
