Oh that story just made me cry

Today is my niece's 10th birthday. I texted happy birthday to her via my sister. She (my sister) told me she would pass the message along when my niece gets done with soccer. Then she said that early this morning the doorbell rang 3 times in a row. My niece thought it was someone dropping off a present for her. She opened the front door but there was no one there. My nephew opened the back door and reported that there was no one there. My niece then went to the back door and opened it. She said "oh that's just Doug wishing me a happy birthday. Thanks Dougie." Dougie is what she and my nephew called my father. Reading that brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad she converted that strange incident into a positive thought of my dad.
