One speaker sent home.

I sent one of the Acoustic Research AR-LST-2s home this morning. This will free up space and make it easier for me to restore the other one with my knee injury. It looks like I'll also be sending the Dynaco A-40XLs home this Friday. I'll be sure to take a photo before I do. They will look really nice. Here's a photo of the AT-LST-2 that went home today. It's an interesting speaker, with a woofer in the middle and midrange and tweeters on each 45 degree angled surface. I hear good things about them, but have never actually listened to a pair. I hope your Monday is shaping up well. I will practice with Durt Cheap this afternoon.

Thank you. It was an interesting contrast, relative to the AR-3as. Those I basically had to glue back together (macro). These are in great shape and just needed a couple of rough corners fixed (micro).

@TheHorse Sanding and refinishing rough corners, that's not too much to fix:)

@kobesbuddy The hard part is gluing in new veneer, at the right (correct) angle, and pressing it down properly. And then yielding a smooth transition between that new veneer and another piece of veneer that contacts it at a 45 degree angle. It's nuanced work, but it is satisfying.

It's 96 degrees here and is supposed to be hotter tomorrow. You sure seem to keep busy with those speakers.

The restoration work is good, because I can do it while listening to music and thinking of other things.

@celticeagle I notice that the kid behind the counter (he other day) at the 7/11 was literally talking to a friend on the phone as he was serving me. Can you believe that? I did not report him.

it is warm out here. But not unbearably hot. I have not checked what the high will be today. My guess is about 90.

I hope you had some good conversations. I napped after I got home from music practice. Music practice was fun and productive.

Still a lot of pain and swelling. What can I say? But I CAN put some pressure on it.

@LindaOHio I had a consultation with another doctor yesterday. She said that mild resistance (the pool) is OK.

That speaker looks a bit unusual to me with the angles. I can imagine having too many in the house would take up quite a bit of space.

I am doing the best I can to enjoy my work at home completing surveys and sharing news stories here under a partly sunny day outside with the temperatures at 92 degrees F.
