Bagging Our Grocery Items

We had something funny happen. Jay was bagging our few grocery items, but ended up with three bags, instead of two. This was in the self-serve checkout, at Wal Mart.
He looked inside the bag and spotted a kit for applying artificial eye lashes! Jay spoke with the lady who was working this aisle. My husband gave her the bag, that someone else paid for and then had forgotten.
The checker stated, "Oh my gosh! She will definitely be returning to find this missing item that she purchased! I'll put it back here."
We left and I teased Jay about my possible need for some false eye lashes!
His reply, "Nope, I don't think so:)"

@anya12adwi It was a kit to glue on artificial eye lashes. I don't know what the price is.

That was good and right of you to turn in the item, somebody paid for it and will be thankful that it was returned.
I found almost $100 in the cash dispenser of one of those self-scan machines, and I did not touch it, just pressed for assistance and waved to get someone's attention immediately because I wanted the individual to get their change and I did not want to be blamed for taking part of it-thank goodness for cameras in such places.

Things like that happen and if you are the one who loses your purchase it can be very discouraging. I have not worn false eyelashes in about fifty years.

Many years ago, I bought false eye lashes. They looked fake and still, they look artificial on ladies.

Artificial eye lashes, I haven't purchased them in over 50 years! lol

Jay and you would have returned the bag even if it didn't have the false eyelash kit because both of you are honest and would never consider taking something that isn't yours. plus both of you are special too!
I am too nervous I will do something wrong and sirens will go off even though it would be an honest mistake to use the self-serve checkout in any store.
My sister won't use a checkout with a cashier anymore. She is brave!

@kobesbuddy She's shown me, but my anxiety gets the best of me and I hate anything computerized except my laptop and my Kindle.
Computers scare me. But thanks for the idea. Once she did let me put her groceries in the bags when she went to self-serve! That was fun!

That is amusing. I watch funny animal videos on YouTube and the other day there was one where a woman was playing with her dog and the dog got one of her false eyelashes and the lady was freaking out. It was pretty cute.
