I have ten more to go to get to my goal. This book was called Abel's Island by William Steig, author of Sylvester and the Magic Pebble. The story in this book was similar to the other though the characters in Abel--are smaller animals. Abel, a well-to-do mouse gets knocked into a river in a storm. He spends a year away from his wife and family, and becomes a bit of a different mouse in the year spent on the island he becomes stranded on. I gave this book four stars--I think I would have given it four and a half if GoodReads had let me.

Sometimes I wish they’d just give us a half star option too.

I have been stuck on reading The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins.

Stuck? Because the story is bad, or you're stuck because it's good?

@xstitcher It's good, but heavy. It's the prequel of The Hunger Games.
