Gas prices down again in California. How MyLot helped me make an extra $7.60 today alone!

Gas prices at my discount station have held steady for about a month. Until about two days ago, when I noticed that they had dropped by a nickel per gallon. But today, out in Random Land, on my way home from music practice, I found a station where gas prices for Regular were under $4.00/gallon. Under $4.00/gallon? In California? Are you kidding me? I put something like 15 gallons in, saving myself about $7.50. Add in my MyLot earnings, and it was a financially productive day! Actually, the fella who took his AR-LST-2 offered to pay me this morning, but I just said, "Eh, wait until the other one is done." I am not a very good capitalist, but I sleep well.

I Make a lot of virtual money. I sold my car and don´t buy gas. I only spend money in Uber but that is to go to the doctor or to Dixie´s only.

@TheHorse I sold my car when my hands started to tremble a lot after chemotherapy. Just now, after years, a neurologist gave me a wonder pill and my hands are not trembling much now. But I got used to Ubers.

Well, I think you did well. It's rare to see something under 3 or four depending on where you live.

@TheHorse Tell me about it. When someone gets excited over gass being 2.00 or less, (almost unheard of in today's pricing) I recall when my father used to have a fit if gass priceses rose over a dollar. We weren't poor or well-off, but he never liked to spend more than he had to.

@kaylachan I remember "the old days" too. Plus they checked your oil and washed your windshield. We live in a different America now.

Yeppers. We're used to high gas prices in California. But they've increased everywhere over the decades.

That's strange because they have been on the rise here. I hope they dip back down. My local station has it for 3.39 but that is the cheapest price I have seen in the region.

Mate, I think you put the wrong caption for your discussion. I thought it should have been the gas prices are "up" again instead of saying "down". Because we are always used to reading, "this price has gone up", "that price has gone up" etc. We are never fortunate enough to read a caption something like you have written. But great to see that you have earned $7.60 in one day here. That's quite a remarkable jump in earnings in one day. You have reached the payout in just one day. Congratulations

@TheHorse I was aactually in the joke mood. We are always accustomed to reading prices going up. So, reading this caption obviously would amuse me. And this was a slap to the government here, saying see, prices can even go down. Why should they always go up? Prices here go down or new schemes are introduced when elections are round the corner. You may have got why. That was a bit of an explanation. As far as your earning here and my maths is concerned, sorry mate, my maths is s bit weak. Also, I'm kind of new here. So I've no idea how I can calculate your earnings.

Um, I think you may have misread my post. Or perhaps you're "in on the joke" and are even more nuanced than I pretend to be. If you do the math, you can see how much I made on MyLot.

That's a nice way of putting it! Who can I quote? If you made that up, you can be one of my spiritual advisors.

@Shiva49 I agree. But I check myself to make sure I do not become "righteous." I think it was Socrates who said something like "He is wise who knows he knows nothing." "Always giving more than I take serves us well."

@TheHorse I heard about it years ago and took it to heart. There are variations of it: "There is no pillow so soft as a clear conscience." "A clear conscience is the softest pillow". Balance in whatever I do has been a mantra with me. Always giving more than I take serves us well.

Gas is $3.39-$3.49 right now here in NE Ohio. Are you sure it was gas? Under $4 per gallon in CA could be water. lololol Have a good day.

Less than $4 a gallon in California is remarkable. Our gas has been between. $3.69-$3.89 for about 3 weeks now. Just depends on where you get it.

We have a good Governor, but I don't think that explains anything. We also have refineries all over the place stinking up our skies. But gas has always been higher here than in most other states.

@TheHorse I recall my sister paying over $5 a gallon when she lived there, and that was years ago.
