Maybe It Wasn't Such a Big Mistake

Happy Tuesday Everyone from a VERY steamy hot and humid day in my little corner of the myLot world. I recently mentioned that on my last grocery shopping I accidently bought rye bread with seeds. I love rye bread but avoid the seeds and always get seedless. Talk about disappointed when I realized I had made a mistake. But, groceries, especially bread is expensive so there was no way I was going to waste it or throw it out. Here we are a week later and I've enjoyed every slice of that rye bread. Seeds and all and it was delicious. I had the last slice this morning, toasted with peanut butter. I liked it so much I actually put another loaf on my list for my next shopping trip.

I'm glad you enjoyed the mistake. Those are the best kind. Toasted with peanut butter does sound interesting.

@celticeagle I can understand kids liking white bread. I think adults finally realize there's more to bread than that boring white stuff

That's a good way to find more foods you may not like is buy it to to try it, I love my bread heated with butter with a small glass of milk I could eat a loaf of bread like that BUT that's not good for my health.

@Marilynda1225 Yeah I have to limit ALL my food of what I can eat since I've been out of the hosp, cause of my T-2 D & that sucks too.

Yes, but will it be seeded or seedless? That is the question.

I love rye bread either way. My Nana was allergic to most foods. When tested the only thing she wasn't shown to be allergic to was rye flour. I spent time in her kitchen making homemade rye bread with and without seeds. I miss those days and her. I am glad you enjoyed the seeded rye bread

I don't buy it often and usually stick with whole wheat so not only was this a good change but good enough to buy a second loaf

Well, there you go. Wasn't that a good outcome? I bought Milo the other day - a sort of chocolate drink powder. I'm not sure you have it there. I thought it tasted a bit funny and sure enough it's now plant-based instead of milk-based. Unlike your experience, I didn't enjoy this and won't be buying it again.

Even though I've never had Milo I can assume that I wouldn't like it either. I would much prefer it to be milk-based
