One morning, sometime in, on, around, or possibly even during 1976, I was sitting in my 6th-grade English class. Before judging me too harshly, you should know I was there involuntarily, hating every minute. I would never have gone to that God-forsaken Gulag---The food was especially bad and they had the worst wine list you've ever seen---if the Bed-Wetting Commie Government hadn't made me, via the Neon Fun Jungle's compulsory education laws. They should be sued for False Advertising, criminal mismanagement, gross incompetence, and/or dereliction of duty because people here keep proving that they were never educated by continually voting for people like Chuck Grassley, Joni Ernst, and Kim Reynolds. They should call it, "the compulsory being dumb as a bag of rocks law." OK, now that the stage has been set and you mostly know where and when you are, let's get the primary plot device rolling. It comes in the form of a question. Jeff Anderson raised his hand and asked, "Mr. Engler, I know that billion comes after million and then trillion but what's after that?" "Well," He answered, "After a trillion comes Quadrillion and then Quintillion, etc etc. All the way up to the completely useless Googol. You really don't need to know any of them because they never show up in ordinary life. The exceptions are astronomy and government spending. But even if you go into astronomy or government spending there are better and more streamlined ways to express these really big numbers. Mark my words, there is no practical use for Googol and it will never be a part of your everyday existence. This is probably the one and only time you will ever use it in a conversation." If you're one of the many critics currently saying, "Sir, that was even shorter and more disappointing than usual," don't blame me. Because it's Sir Paul McCartney's fault. Because, in 1965, he dreamed the melody Of "Yesterday" and since then, I've been wanting to have something come to me in a dream. And last night, I dreamed the events you have just read. And even though they were based on a true but long-forgotten story, the villain here is Paul because he forced me to manifest this post by dreaming it up. With that in mind, put on your favorite mini-skirt cause we're going to Munich in 1966, to see what the Cosmic Universal Anthem Song Of The Month Club Song For Today is. ************** The Beatles - "Yesterday" live in Munich, 1966
