Do you have an antivirus on your phone?

I installed one and I searched if I have a virus on my phone. But I don't have any virus. I think I will uninstall it. If it's useful it should find some problems. Or maybe I don't have any virus, but this is hard to believe. Today I clicked on a weird link. I wanted to find malware too, but the programs couldn't find anything. I will uninstall all programs because I am not sure if they are useful. Do you use an antivirus app on your phone? Do you think it's necessary? Can you recommend a better app if such an app exists? I installed Bitdefender and Malware-bytes.

Antivirus apps don't really do anything. If anything they just take up space on your phone. The chances of getting a virus on a smart phone are quite small, and you should only be concerned if you lost your phone, or your phone starts to behave differently. such as battery draining or it getting hot for no real reason. Strange sounds while in phone calls.

Although in principle computers and smartphones have almost the same working techniques, most of the virus in market targets computers and servers and very few are there which targets smartphones. Again, most malwares target browsers and cookies. With Smartphones, most of the things are apps and they have their own defence mechanisms. Having said that having an antivirus on smartphone is useful . Make sure of Norton or Mcaffe is used. I am not sure of other brands . It is better to be safe than sorry!

I don't know if I'd be able to trust antivirus apps in the first place, but I've heard of the names you mentioned and they seem to be reliable. I have an iPhone so it's less likely to get malware compared to Android, I think. And I don't use it a lot so very little chances to get infected, I prefer the computer for most things.
