Bob had three appointments and a blood draw today. Got them all taken care of, easily and on time. I did not get here before we left and really have not been here much since getting back. We stopped at Aldi and got a few things we needed. I put them away and I worked on some of my other paying websites. There are some things in my fridge that need to be taken care of, and all kinds of house chores, if I would just get them done. Back to school inservices are in less than two weeks. That is how close it is getting. Bob needs to get labs for his cardiologist, and for his Primary Care. He will see his primary care physician on Friday. I will go with him, of course. It is just a lazy summer afternoon now. He is taking a nap. I have been reading and responding to you guys. It is pretty relaxing. I will see you later.

You had a fairly good day. It is hard to believe that you are referring to back to school already, our kids have only been out since the end of June, so no back to school until the day after Labour Day.

I remember when we went to school through Memorial Day (end of May) and did not start back until the day after Labor Day. They are always changing things it seems.

I like it when we can get several things done in one trip. Of course I napped while Bob drove home.

School started again here this week. The students have two weeks off in July but the longest break is over Christmas/New Year.

I have an unpopular opinion. I wish they all went six weeks on and two weeks off year round. Less learning loss that way.

@GardenGerty I can believe this would be better. I think part of our six weeks break is trying to avoid the worst of the hot weather but it doesn't really work. There is still plenty of hot weather in February and March.

I can't believe that the kids will go back to school next month. I hope Bob's labs and appointments go well. Have a good day.

He went for his labs, got back and was getting ready to rest. They called, as the lab did not draw everything needed. Poor guy had to make two trips.

Just two more weeks? That doesn’t seem possible. Summer is something I don’t like, but I feel like we need to pause it to give you more time away from all that stress.

Actual start date is August 15, I think. We have a day long inservice August 1, and I have an as yet to be determined safety training called CPI, only a four hour refresher. 13th and 14th are work days in the classroom. Kids on August 15,
