Jealous of Cows

I see cows and sometimes I feel jealous of them.
Why should they have huge languid eyes with long eyelashes that hang demurely over them? Is it fair that cows that eat grass and buttercups should have assets that should belong to little girls and women instead?
What do you think? Am I being fair or should I just mooove along? Do you have any cow stories? Did you ever look into cow eyes and wonder what happened?

My lashes are long and thick because of the eye drops I have to use. Interesting that you are jealous of a cow! No cow stories here. Have a good day.

@LindaOHio Wow, that is a lot. You take it for specific eye conditions, then? It is probably not good for the general public. I will look into flaxseed. I think it is supposed to be good for you for other things too.

I was smiling when I started to read your discussion. But then I didn't know when I was laughing. I was amused to see that someone would be jealous of a cow just for her big assets

This is quite an interesting observation. Girls and women will better relate to this.
As far the eye lashes, yes, I play with cows. They love it when you caresse their neck. They will point their head skyward to allow you to get the better part of their necks to caresse.
They are a lovely creature and worshipped in India.

@akalinus Here in India, the cow is seen as a docile animal. More importantly, she is seen as the one that gives more to us than what she requires. She gives is five things: milk, cheese, butter, urine and dung. Believe it or not, a cow's urine and dung has properties to cure a few diseases. Cow is seen as a "MOTHER" due to these properties,as a mother of always selfless toward her children.
By the first century A. D. cow was closely associated with "Brahman" . "Brahman" is the highest level of class in Hinduism. They are respected and held in high esteem. And because cows and Brahmans were associated, this animal too was given similar respect. Hindus then stopped killing cows.
If you know, or heard of Lord Krishna, He is incarnation of Lord Vishnu - one of the three main Gods Hindus worship. Even if you search Lord Krishna, even today you will see pictures of him along with a cow.
Apart from that caressing her neck is believed to cure you of a few diseases as well. Might not look true at face value, but that's true.
Also, it's believed that there are 33 types of Gods in her stomach. There are a number of such reasons why a cow is worshipped in India.

@abhi_bangal I knew cows were worshipped but never knew why. Thanks for your answer. I agree that they are lovely creatures. I had some ceramic cows but they disappeared. I love cows.

They won't end up as burgers in India. I always felt sorry for cows. My son helped a farmer when he was in high school. Sometimes he had to get up in the middle of the night because a cow ran off into the woods to give birth. He had to bring her and the calf safely home to the barn. The cows all had names and I pitied them when they had to put them in the truck to take to auction.

@akalinus One country won't save them. Everybody else gladly eats them. lol. I can imagine it would be tough to be close and personal with them. Heck, I get a little edgy when I see a truck barreling down the highway loaded with livestock knowing where they are going.
It's sad sometimes to think about it. But then, that's just the nature of things. We are but mere members of the animal kingdom and animals who eat meat in that kingdom have to kill sometimes for that meal to happen.
It's the circle of life.
