It Pays to Play the Ole Broad Card Sometimes

I got an email from Sparklight(our internet carrier) a few days ago saying that the monthly payment on the internet was going up $5. I didn't like it much. Reading further I found that if I went to paperless billing and/or also easy pay I would get $5 off. The more I thought about it the more I didn't like it. I am already paperless and the auto-pay doesn't work for me. If the amount came out at the end of the month(due on the 30th) I would have no money in the account. Luckily all these years I've had a grace period of about 6-7 days since my SS hits my bank account on the 3rd of the month. (I've only been with them since the mid 90's. Back when they were United Cable and then Cable One.) So, I decided to call them. The rep I got was a nice woman named Stacey. She listened to me explain about being on a fixed income and a senior. She said she would go ahead and give me $10 off for 12 months. Okay. Great! And then I told her I would go ahead with the auto pay. She hooked me up with that too which gave me an additional $5 off. So, now instead of the $103.25(up from $98.25), it will now be $83.25 for 12 months.
